Bio

Described as a musician with fantastic vocal endurance and “Van Halen-channeling” guitar chops, Blake Jurasin captivates listeners’ ears with fast-paced, guitar-heavy rock music. With lyrical content ranging from every day frustrations; break-ups; the current state of the US; and risk-taking adventures, the “Who I Was” EP hints at punk rock’s “stick it to the man” attitude while also borrowing different musical grooves from various genres, including Blues and Jazz.

Blake, originating from Covington, Louisiana, is a Berklee College of Music graduate that now performs and teaches guitar in the Austin, Texas area. With “Who I Was” currently in the mixing and mastering process, Blake continues to perform in various projects: the Blake Jurasin Project, Bethany Becker, and the Abundant Life Church. Recently, Blake participated in a local Battle of the Bands sponsored by local public access producer, Dave Prewitt, where Blake’s band won a 45-minute slot on Dave TV. The “Who I Was” EP is now available on all streaming services.

In addition to his EP, he has also been featured on Bethany Becker’s song “Christmastime,” Nishad George’s “Crimson Knight,” and the Abundant Life Church’s Life in the Key of Worship album. He plays nearly every weekend with the Bethany Becker Band, in both full-band and acoustic settings. With various artists, Blake has performed on the High School Nation tour featuring Drake Bell, performed at Grapefest featuring Foghat, performed on Good Morning/Good Day Austin, opened for the Moonshine Bandits, and opened for Fuel. He was also a featured guitarist in Berklee’s Guitar Night: Rock and Pop 2015.
